Has anyone found solid continuing-ed courses that improve scheduling and risk management for dam and flood-control work? I’m managing a 24-month spillway rehab with seasonal flow windows and staged cofferdams, and I’m looking for PDH offerings that cover risk-adjusted schedules, flow/weather contingencies, and coordination with USACE dam safety reviews.
I’d pair ASCE’s “Schedule Risk Analysis (Monte Carlo)” webinar with ASDSO’s RIDM short course — they both offer PDHs and touch USACE review coordination (course calendar: https://damsafety.org/education). Beforehand, build a flow/weather calendar in P6 from recent USGS/NOAA data and set 3‑point durations on cofferdam/dewatering so you can trial a risk‑adjusted run — it’s sandbagging your Gantt chart. What tool are you on, P6 Risk Analysis or MS Project with Acumen?
