Logged a boring at 7:10 a.m. and got N=3, 4, 5, then 50/0.3 m “refusal” on a brick — now my 24 in footings are auditioning as micropiles. My Atterberg limits came back LL=72, PI=38 and the swell test winked at me; anyone else feel their foundation design is just a negotiation with a very petty soil?
